New Hosting Site

Just moved Geekmeat.net over to a new hosting site on No Focus. :)

New House

Sharon and I are building (or is it having built?) a new house in Queen Creek, AZ. Its a bit farther away from everything else, but we think it will be a good investment. :) We're taking pictures as it goes, so every one can "watch" it being built. ;)

I've been going through my site as I've had time and making it fully XHTML compliant. I'm a firm believer of coding correctly, not just "however it works". Most web browsers now a days don't adhere strictly to the standards, allowing web designers, coders, and programs to be sloppy. Something I happen to believe is a very bad thing. :) So I'm working to make my site completely correct and compliant. ;) I'm using http://validator.w3.org/ for my validation.

New Look

I've just updated the site with a new look and feel. Hopefully this will make it a bit better. I've been meaning to do this, just haven't gotten around to it, and for some reason, I decided to do it last night. I think its cause I went to add some links to the site, and decided I was tired of it, and I'm currently on vacation. ;) Hope you like it!

Why Me?

Why me? Well cause there is no other. Vague, I know, but what else kind of answer do you expect from geekmeat.net. :^} So as for the reason behind the name. Well I was just driving home, and I was trying to figure out a good domain name to get, cause everyone else was doing it. :^} And I decided it would have to be geek related. And then freshmeat.com came to mind, and also bitchlink.com(which was apparently registered to my old post address), and decided that geekmeat it was. And geekmeat.com was taken(which I'm not sure what they're doing with), so .net it was! ;)

To Meat, or to Meet, that is the question:

Well so is this a site about meat, or meet. I guess I'll leave that up to you. I guess it's about meeting the real meat! ;) That would be me, Tim, for the blonds out there! ;) But this site is just a fun site. But, if you think I'm cute... *wink* hehehe
